Service. Humanity. Engagement.
A community of women empowering each other through service, meaningful connection, and collective action for a better world.
The SHE began with a simple idea and a deep need - to connect with other local women, build real relationships, and find meaningful ways to contribute to our community. We believe in cultivating a community where joy, purpose, and impact are shared and experienced together.
Who We Are
We are a growing community of women in Magnolia who believe in showing up — for each other, for our community, and for ourselves.
The SHE stands for Service, Humanity, and Engagement — the values that shape everything we do. Whether we’re volunteering with a local nonprofit, learning something new, or simply gathering to laugh and connect, we’re here to build genuine friendships and make a positive impact together.
Everyone is welcome — come as you are and join us in building something special.
What We Do
At The SHE, we create space for women to connect, grow, and give back — together.
Each month, we host a variety of gatherings — from fun social nights (like Bunco or Paint & Sip) to educational talks, service projects, and wellness experiences like Dance Church. Many of our events are member-led, giving everyone a chance to share their passions and talents.
Whether you come for friendship, community service, or personal growth, there’s a place for you here.
Our Founders
The SHE began in November 2024, shortly after the election, when five women gathered to imagine the kind of community they wanted to create. Out of those conversations, The SHE took root. Today, co-founders Christi Birchfield and Lauren Lozano lead the group by inviting speakers, planning monthly gatherings, building nonprofit partnerships, and creating meaningful opportunities to connect and give back.
Christi and Lauren met and became friends while their children attended classes at Magnolia Cooperative Preschool. Christi, born in Cleveland, Ohio, is a mom to Ellarose and Emmett and an extraordinary artist whose creativity shapes much of the group’s spirit. Lauren, born in Sacramento, California, is a mom to William and Henry who loves bringing ideas to life and building connections that inspire community.
Together, they believe in the power of women supporting women—and that when we come together with purpose and joy, we can create something truly lasting.
