Welcome – A Little About This Space

Hi there! If you’ve landed on this page wondering if we’re affiliated with Nordstrom—the answer is no (though that would be cool!). My name is Lauren, and I’m one of the founders of this group. I’m currently applying for a role at Nordstrom, and as part of the application process I’ve developed a little digital scavenger hunt for the hiring team. I’ve led the team here because this is a project I’m incredibly proud of.

If you’re here because you work at Nordstrom and you’re evaluating me as a candidate—welcome! I invite you to explore this site, because it reflects something that means a great deal to me: building community.

This group started last November when a few friends and I got together to imagine what a supportive, fun, and meaningful women’s community in Magnolia could look like. Since then, we’ve grown to more than 85 members and host multiple events each month.

Our most recent event may be my proudest moment so far: a parent education evening with speaker Abigail Wald on how to work well with strong-willed kids. Around 20 women gathered in person and online, sharing their vulnerable parenting stories, laughing, crying, and connecting deeply—not just with the work of parenting, but with each other. To me, this is community building at its core, and I’m so proud to be part of it.
